Anyone who has tried to work on a car in a tight space will attest to the value of a good set of wheel dollies. With your Mini’s wheels sitting on castors, you can quite literally push it to the side (or any other direction) while you get on with other work. The only drawback with the usual design is you have to lift the car’s wheels into the dolly’s cradle before you can start pushing.
These GoJaks from Frost Auto Restoration Techniques solve that problem, making them the best, easiest to use and most versatile dollies we’ve seen. The GoJak is a combination jack and dolly, with a built-in mechanism to lift a wheel off the ground, and then move a locked, blocked or disabled vehicle.
Simply slip the two arms of the GoJak either side of the wheel, then pump the lifting lever to gently squeeze the tyre between the two rollers — lifting the wheel from the ground. The rollers touch only the tyre (up to nine inches wide), making no contact with the vehicle frame or undercarriage. A pair will lift over one tonne and allow easy manoeuvring of the vehicle on its four-inch castors.
